Repair first. Replace only when it is worth it.

Most localised carpet damage does not need a whole new carpet. A patch, a re-seam or a restretch usually costs a fraction of replacement and keeps the carpet you already have. Dan will tell you straight when a repair will blend well, and when replacement is the better spend.
How closely a patch blends depends on donor carpet, pile direction, age, wear and colour fade. That is why every quote starts with your photos.

Frequently asked questions

If you have spare offcuts from the original install, matching is straightforward. If not, Dan can often take donor carpet from a hidden area such as a wardrobe floor and replace that section with a non-matching piece, with your approval. Where no donor carpet exists, Dan will give you an honest view on how close a match can be sourced.

Send a few photos of the damage together with your suburb, either by SMS to 0434 104 356 or through the quote form. Dan will come back to you with an assessment and price. Some jobs need an onsite inspection before a final price can be confirmed.

Not always, and Dan will not pretend otherwise. How well a patch blends depends on the donor carpet, pile direction, age, wear and colour fade. Restretching generally leaves no visible trace. You will get a straight answer before any work is booked.

Yes. Renters preparing for a final inspection, landlords and property managers are a large part of the work. Repairs are documented with before and after photos.

Dan covers Melbourne’s south eastern suburbs from his Hallam base, plus the Melbourne CBD. See the service areas page for the full list, or just ask when you send your photos.
